Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the HOM-TES-103 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (HOM-TES-103 antibody (MBS5303019) used at 0.2-1 ug/ml to detect target protein.)
Affinity purified rabbit polyclonal HOM-TES-103 antibody.
Biological Significance: This gene is a member of the intermediate filament family. Intermediate filaments are proteins which are primordial components of the cytoskeleton and nuclear envelope. The proteins encoded by the members of this gene family are evolutionarily and structurally related but have limited sequence homology, with the exception of the central rod domain. Alternative splicing has been observed for this gene and three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. Other alternatively spliced transcripts may exist, but their biological validity has not been confirmed. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: HOM-TES-103 antibody was raised in rabbit using the C terminal of HOM-TES-103 as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing HOM-TES-103 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as HOM-TES-103 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
