|The IA-6 insm2 (Catalog #MBS9402432) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IA-6 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s IA-6 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IA-6 insm2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The IA-6 insm2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #120659844) (NCBI Accession #AAI30380). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the IA-6 Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of IA-6 in rat thymus tissue lysate with IA-6 antibody at (A) 1 and (B) 2 ug/mL.)
IA-6, also known as insulinoma-associated 2 or INSM2, is related to IA-1 (INSM1), a zinc-finger factor that is expressed in the developing nervous system. While the exact function of IA-6 is not known, other related insulinoma-associated proteins such as IA-2 are major autoantigens in type 1 diabetes. The homology exhibited by IA-6 to IA-1 has led to speculation that IA-6 may also play a role in the regulation of gene transcription.
Immunogen Type: Peptide
Immunogen Description: Raised against a 14 amino acid peptide from near the carboxy terminus of human IA-6. Target Name: IA-6. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing IA-6 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as IA-6 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Liver Cirrhosis are some of the diseases may be linked to IA-6 Antibody.
