The ICAM2 icam2 (Catalog #MBS9212822) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ICAM2 Antibody (Center) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s ICAM2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS).WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ICAM2 icam2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The ICAM2 icam2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #153082696) (NCBI Accession #NP_000864.2) (Uniprot Accession #P13598). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the ICAM2 Antibody (Center) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (ICAM2 Antibody (Center) western blot analysis in HepG2 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the ICAM2 antibody detected the ICAM2 protein (arrow).)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (ICAM2 Antibody (Center) flow cytometric analysis of HepG2 cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the
intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM) family. All ICAM proteins
are type I transmembrane glycoproteins, contain 2-9
immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains, and bind to the leukocyte
adhesion LFA-1 protein. This protein may play a role in lymphocyte
recirculation by blocking LFA-1-dependent cell adhesion. It
mediates adhesive interactions important for antigen-specific
immune response, NK-cell mediated clearance, lymphocyte
recirculation, and other cellular interactions important for immune
response and surveillance. Several transcript variants encoding the
same protein have been found for this gene.
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide. Antigen Source: HUMAN. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ICAM2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ICAM2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Liver, Lung, Lymph, Lymph Node, Umbilical Cord, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. Heart Diseases, Hemorrhage, Immune System Diseases, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Lung Diseases, Myocardial Infarction, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Experimental, Pancreatic Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to ICAM2 Antibody (Center).
