The IFN gamma ifng (Catalog #MBS535783) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IFN gamma antibody reacts with Rat IFN gamme and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s IFN gamma can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Inhibition, Western Blot (WB).ELISA: 0.5-2 ug/ml
Inhibition: 60-65 ng/ml
WB: 0.1-0.2 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IFN gamma ifng for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The IFN gamma ifng product has the following accession number(s) (GI #56786138) (NCBI Accession #NP_000610.2) (Uniprot Accession #P01579). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Affinity purified Goat polyclonal IFN gamma antibody.
Biological Significance: IFN-gamma is an acid-labile interferon produced by CD4 and CD8 T lymphocytes as well as activated NK cells. IFN-gamma receptors are present in most immune cells, which respond to IFN-gamma signaling by increasing the surface expression of class I MHC proteins. This promotes the presentation of antigen to T-helper (CD4+) cells. IFN-gamma signaling in antigen-presenting cells and antigen-recognizing B and T lymphocytes regulate the antigen-specific phases of the immune response. Additionally, IFN-gamma stimulates a number of lymphoid cell functions including the anti-microbial and anti-tumor responses of macrophages, NK cells, and neutrophils. Human IFN-gamma is species-specific and is biologically active only in human and primate cells. Immunogen: IFN gamma antibody was raised in goat using highly pure recombinant rat IFN-gamma as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing IFN gamma are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as IFN gamma may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Arthritis, Rheumatoid, Autoimmune Diseases, Colitis, Diabetes Mellitus, Type 1, HIV Infections, Hepatitis, Hepatitis C, Lymphoproliferative Disorders, Necrosis, Respiratory Tract Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to IFN gamma antibody. Blood, Kidney, Lymph Node tissues are correlated with this protein. IFN gamma also interacts with the following gene(s): IFNGR1, IFNGR2, IL18R1, IL2, IRF1, STAT1, TBX21, TGFB1, TNF.
