The IKAP ikbkap (Catalog #MBS536254) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IKAP antibody reacts with To be determined by end-user and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s IKAP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).WB: 1:500-1:1,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IKAP ikbkap for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The IKAP ikbkap product has the following accession number(s) (GI #27462084) (NCBI Accession #AAO15309.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q3TD73). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Affinity purified Rabbit polyclonal IKAP antibody.
Biological Significance: IKK-alpha and IKK-beta isozymes are found in large complexes These large, interleukin-1-inducible IKK complexes have been found to contain a new protein, termed IKK-complex-associated protein (IKAP), which can bind NIK and IKKs and assemble them into an active kinase complex. IKAP is a scaffold protein and a regulator for three different kinases involved in pro-inflammatory cytokine signaling. Biohazard Information: This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
Immunogen: IKAP antibody was raised in rabbit using C terminus of IKAP as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing IKAP are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as IKAP may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Artery, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Heart, Joint, Kidney, Liver, Muscle, Skin tissues are correlated with this protein. IKAP also interacts with the following gene(s): Elp2, Elp3.
