Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Anti-Interleukin-7 receptor alpha, IL-7Ralpha / CD127 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB)
The interleukin-7 receptor is a protein found on the surface of cells. It is made up of two different smaller protein chains - i.e. it is a heterodimer, and consists of two subunits, interleukin-7 receptor-alpha (CD127) and common-gamma chain receptor (CD132).1,2 IL7Ralphais required for normal lymphoid development. Loss-of-function mutations in this gene cause autosomal recessive severe combined immune deficiency.3 The partial deficiency of IL-7R alpha results in an arrest of T-cell development, leading to typical severe combined immunodeficiency. It has the critical role of IL-7R alpha chain in the differentiation of T cells.4.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide (conjugated with KLH) corresponding to the N-terminal of human IL-7Ra. Storage Buffer: In TBS (pH7.4), 0.5% BSA, 40% Glycerol and 0.05% Sodium Azide. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing IL-7Ralpha / CD127 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as IL-7Ralpha / CD127 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
