|The IL-9 il9 (Catalog #MBS691174) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Anti-Mouse IL-9 reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s IL-9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Neutr.
Western Blot: To detect mIL-9 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant mIL-9 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL-9 il9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The IL-9 il9 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #6680437) (NCBI Accession #NP_032399.1) (Uniprot Accession #P15247). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

IL-9 is an immunoregulatory cytokine produced by IL-2 activated Th2 lymphocytes. IL-9 enhances the proliferation of T lymphocytes, mast cells, erthroid precursor cells and megakaryoblastic leukemia cell lines. Over-expression of IL-9 has been implicated in the pathogenesis of anaplastic lymphoma and Hodgkin\\'s disease. Whereas murine IL-9 can function on human cells, human IL-9 is inactive on mouse cells. Recombinant murine IL-9 is a 14.3 kDa protein of 127 amino acid residues including 10 cysteine residues which are fully conserved between the human murine proteins.
Antibody Generation: Produced from sera of rabbits pre-immunized with highly pure (>98%) recombinant mIL-9. Anti-mIL-9 specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing immobilized mIL-9 matrix. Buffer: PBS; pH 7.2
Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of mIL-9 (0.30 ng/ml), a concentration of 0.006-0.012 ug/ml of this antibody is required. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing IL-9 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as IL-9 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Death, Eye Diseases, Hyperplasia, Immune System Diseases, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Lung Diseases, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to Rabbit Anti-Mouse IL-9. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
