The IL17 il17a (Catalog #MBS535838) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IL17 antibody reacts with Human IL-17 and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s IL17 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Inhibition, Western Blot (WB).ELISA: 0.5-2 ug/ml
Inhibition: 0.43-0.65 ug/ml
WB: 0.1-0.2 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL17 il17a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The IL17 il17a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4504651) (NCBI Accession #NP_002181.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q16552). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Affinity purified Goat polyclonal IL17 antibody.
Biological Significance: The originally described IL17 protein, now known as IL17A, is a homodimer of two 136 amino acid chains, secreted by activated T-cells that act on stromal cells to induce production of proinflammatory and hematopoietic bioactive molecules. Today, IL17 represents a family of structurally-related cytokines that share a highly conserved C-terminal region but differ from one another in their N-terminal regions and in their distinct biological roles. The six known members of this family, IL17A through IL17F, are secreted as homodimers. IL17A exhibits cross-species bioactivity between human and Mouse cells. Immunogen: IL17 antibody was raised in goat using highly pure recombinant hIL-17A as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing IL17 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as IL17 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. IL17 also interacts with the following gene(s): FOXP3, IL17RA, IL17RC, IL22, IL6, NFKB1, STAT1, STAT3, TGFB1, TRAF3IP2. Autoimmune Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, Central Nervous System Diseases, Colitis, Disease Models, Animal, Hypersensitivity, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Lung Diseases, Necrosis are some of the diseases may be linked to IL17 antibody. Mixed tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
