The IL1B il1b (Catalog #MBS175705) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-IL1 beta antibody reacts with Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s IL1 beta can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).Western blot
Concentration: 0.1-0.5ug/ml
Tested Species: Ms, Rat
Tested Species: In-house tested species with positive results.
Predicted Species: Species predicted to be fit for the product based on sequence similarities.
Other applications have not been tested.
Optimal dilutions should be determined by end users. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL1B il1b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The IL1B il1b product has the following accession number(s) (GI #124304) (Uniprot Accession #P10749). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Lane 2: Recombinant Mouse IL-1 beta Protein 5ng
Lane 3: Recombinant Mouse IL-1 beta Protein 2.5ng )
Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for Interleukin-1 beta(IL1B) detection. Tested with WB in Mouse, Rat.
Background: Interleukin-1 beta(IL-1beta) also know as catabolin, is a cytokine protein that in humans is encoded by the IL1B gene, which localizes to the long arm of chromosome 2 at position 2q13-2q21 between two fragile sites. Interleukin 1(IL-1) is a protein with several biological activities regulating host defense and immune responses. The human IL-1 family plays an important role in the pathogenesis of many diseases and functions as a key mediator of the host response to various infectious, inflammatory, and immunologic challenges.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of mouse IL1 beta (250-265aa FLGNNSGQDIIDFTME), different from the related rat sequence by four amino acids.
Specificity: No cross reactivity with other proteins. Reconstitution: 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing IL1B are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as IL1B may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
