The IL1RN il1rn (Catalog #MBS224354) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s IL-1RA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB).ELISA: This biotinylated human IL-1RA antibody may be used in a direct ELISA or as the detection reagent in a sandwich ELISA with a purified human IL-1RA antibody as the capture reagent and recombinant human IL-1RA as the standard.
Western Blot: This biotinylated human IL-1RA antibody may be used in Western Blotting applications under either reducing or non-reducing conditions with recombinant human IL-1RA as the positive control.
ELISA: Minimum Dilution: 0.25; Maximum Dilution: 1.0ug/ml
Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 0.1; Maximum Dilution: 0.2ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL1RN il1rn for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The IL1RN il1rn product has the following accession number(s) (GI #10835147) (NCBI Accession #NP_000568.1) (Uniprot Accession #P18510). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

This product specifically recognises human Interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1RA), a naturally occurring inflammatory inhibitor protein, produced by monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, corneal epithelial cells and fibroblasts, which inhibits the activity of IL-1 alpha and IL-1 beta, by competitively blocking binding to cell surface receptors for IL-1. Genetic variations in IL-1RA gene (IL1RN) are associated with susceptibility to microvascular complications of diabetes type 4 (MVCD4), and IL-1RA has therapeutic applications in rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, psoriasis, sepsis, chronic myelogenous leukaemia and inflammatory bowel disease.
Reconstitution: Reconstitute with 0.5ml sterile PBS containing 0.1% bovine serum albumin Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. MyBioSource recommends that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution. For long term storage the addition of 0.09% sodium azide is recommended. Immunogen: Recombinant human IL-1RA
Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline
Antiserum Preparation: Antiserum to human IL-1RA were raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
Target Species: Human. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing IL1RN are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as IL1RN may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
