|The IL4 il4 (Catalog #MBS534954) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IL4 antibody reacts with Murine IL-4 and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s IL4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Inhibition, Western Blot (WB).
ELISA: 0.5-2 ug/ml
Inhibition: 0.78-1.16 ug/ml
WB: 0.1-0.2 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL4 il4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The IL4 il4 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4504669) (NCBI Accession #NP_000580) (Uniprot Accession #P05112). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Affinity purified Rabbit polyclonal IL4 antibody.
Biological Significance: IL4 is a pleiotropic cytokine that regulates diverse T and B cell responses including cell proliferation, survival and gene expression. Produced by mast cells, T cells and bone marrow stromal cells, IL4 regulates the differentiation of naive CD4+ T cells into helper Th2 cells, characterized by their cytokine-secretion profile that includes secretion of IL4, IL5, IL6, IL10, and IL13, which favor a humoral immune response. Another dominant function of IL4 is the regulation of immunoglobulin class switching to the IgG1 and IgE isotypes. Excessive IL4 production by Th2 cells has been associated with elevated IgE production and allergy. Immunogen: IL4 antibody was raised in rabbit using highly pure recombinant murine IL-4 as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing IL4 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as IL4 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Asthma, Autoimmune Diseases, Hypersensitivity, Hypersensitivity, Immediate, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Lung Diseases, Necrosis, Respiratory Hypersensitivity, Rhinitis are some of the diseases may be linked to IL4 antibody. IL4 also interacts with the following gene(s): CSF2, IL13RA1, IL2RG, IL4R, IL5, JAK2, JAK3, STAT6. Blood, Spleen tissues are correlated with this protein.
