IL-15 is 14-15kD, a member of the four alpha-helical bundle family of cytokines. It is very similar to IL-2, except that IL-15 has an IL-15 alpha receptor subunit. It plays an important role in the growth and differentiation of T and B lymphocytes, natural killer cells, macrophages, and monocytes as well as it activates a number of importatnat intracellular signaling molecules. This implies that IL-15 could be essential for the immune responses, allograft rejection, and the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases.
Immunogen: E. coli-expressed rat IL-15 (aa 104-162). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Interleukin 15B are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Interleukin 15B may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
