The IRP1 aco1 (Catalog #MBS588254) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s Iron Regulatory Protein 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP).
If reconstituted in 50 ul: Western Blot: 1:2000
Optimal dilution has to be determined by the user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IRP1 aco1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The IRP1 aco1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #9802308) (NCBI Accession #AAF99681.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Background: The iron regulatory proteins IRP1 and IRP2 are involved in posttranscriptional regulation of cellular iron metabolism by binding to mRNA iron-responsive elements (IREs). IRPs respond to stress mediators, iron concentration and signaling factors, including nitrogen monoxide, cytokines and hydrogen peroxide. IRP-1 is a bifunctional soluble protein that functions as an IRE-binding protein or as the cytoplasmic isoform of aconitase. The antibody was raised against the full length IRP-1 protein.

Description: A highly specific and sensitive antibody against the human Iron Regulatory Protein 1 (IRP-1). The antibody is whole serum.

In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing IRP1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as IRP1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. IRP1 also interacts with the following gene(s): IDH1, IDH2. Anemia, Brain Diseases, Fatty Liver, Fibrosis, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Lung Diseases, Lung Neoplasms, Nerve Degeneration, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to Iron Regulatory Protein 1 (IRP1) Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody. Blood, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Skin, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
