The ITGA7 itga7 (Catalog #MBS176867) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-ITGA7 antibody reacts with Reacts with: HumanPredicted to work with: Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s ITGA7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB)
Other applications have not been tested.
Optimal dilutions should be determined by end users. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ITGA7 itga7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The ITGA7 itga7 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #308153592) (NCBI Accession #Q13683.3) (Uniprot Accession #Q13683). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Background: Integrin alpha-7 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ITGA7 gene. This gene is mapped to 12q13.2. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the integrin alpha chain family. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. They mediate a wide spectrum of cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, and thus play a role in cell migration, morphologic development, differentiation, and metastasis. This protein functions as a receptor for the basement membrane protein laminin-1. It is mainly expressed in skeletal and cardiac muscles and may be involved in differentiation and migration processes during myogenesis. Defects in this gene are associated with congenital myopathy.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of human ITGA7 (1123-1139aa HAVKIPREDRQQFKEEK), identical to the related mouse sequence, and different from the related rat sequence by one amino acid. Contents: Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg Thimerosal, 0.05mg NaN3.
Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.
Tested Species: In-house tested species with positive results.
Predicted Species: Species predicted to be fit for the product based on sequence similarities. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ITGA7 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ITGA7 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Ganglia, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Muscle, Nerve, Prostate, Uterus tissues are correlated with this protein.
