The LDHA ldha (Catalog #MBS7004204) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti-human L-lactate dehydrogenase A chain polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s L-lactate dehydrogenase A chain can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB).Recommended dilution: WB:1:500-2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LDHA ldha for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The LDHA ldha product has the following accession number(s) (GI #207028494) (NCBI Accession #NP_001128711.1) (Uniprot Accession #P00338). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Defects in LDHA are the cause of glycogen storage disease type 11 (GSD11) [MIM:612933]. A metabolic disorder that results in exertional myoglobinuria, pain, cramps and easy fatigue.
This protein catalyzes the conversion of L-lactate and NAD to pyruvate and NADH in the final step of anaerobic glycolysis. The protein is found predominantly in muscle tissue and belongs to the lactate dehydrogenase family. Mutations in this gene have been linked to exertional myoglobinuria. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. The human genome contains several non-transcribed pseudogenes of this gene.
Immunogen: Recombinant human L-lactate dehydrogenase A chain protein. Conjugation: Non-conjugated
Storage Buffer: Preservative: 0.03% Proclin 300; Constituents: 50% Glycerol, 0.01M PBS, PH 7.4
Santa Cruz Alternative: Potential replacement for Santa Cruz Biotechnology antibody catalog# sc-27230 / sc-27232 / sc-33781. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing LDHA are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as LDHA may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
