The LGMN lgmn (Catalog #MBS646387) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LGMN (PRSC1, Legumain, Asparaginyl Endopeptidase, Protease, Cysteine 1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s LGMN can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP).Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LGMN lgmn for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The LGMN lgmn product has the following accession number(s) (GI #56682964) (NCBI Accession #NP_001008530.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q99538). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful. The amino acid sequence is listed below:

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the LGMN (PRSC1, Legumain, Asparaginyl Endopeptidase, Protease, Cysteine 1) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (LGMN rabbit polyclonal antibody. Western Blot analysis of LGMN expression in HeLa.)
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of LGMN expression in transfected 293T cell line by LGMN polyclonal antibody. Lane 1: LGMN transfected lysate (49.4kD). Lane 2: Non-transfected lysate.)
Immunoprecipitation (IP) (Immunoprecipitation of LGMN transfected lysate using LGMN rabbit polyclonal antibody and Protein A Magnetic Bead, and immunoblotted with LGMN purified mouse polyclonal antibody.)
This gene encodes a cysteine protease that has a strict specificity for hydrolysis of asparaginyl bonds. This enzyme may be involved in the processing of bacterial peptides and endogenous proteins for MHC class II presentation in the lysosomal/endosomal systems. Enzyme activation is triggered by acidic pH and appears to be autocatalytic. Protein expression occurs after monocytes differentiate into dendritic cells. A fully mature, active enzyme is produced following lipopolysaccharide expression in mature dendritic cells. Overexpression of this gene may be associated with the majority of solid tumor types. This gene has a pseudogene on chromosome 13. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, but the biological validity of only two has been determined. These two variants encode the same isoform.
Immunogen: Full length human LGMN, aa1-433 (NP_001008530.1). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing LGMN are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as LGMN may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
