The LRP8 lrp8 (Catalog #MBS9407875) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LRP8 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s LRP8 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).Western blotting: 1:500~1:3000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LRP8 lrp8 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The LRP8 lrp8 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #65301119) (NCBI Accession #NP_001018064.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q14114). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of extracts from Jurkat cells, using LRP8 antibody.)
Cell surface receptor for Reelin (RELN) and apolipoprotein E (apoE)-containing ligands. LRP8 participates in transmitting the extracellular Reelin signal to intracellular signaling processes, by binding to DAB1 on its cytoplasmic tail. Reelin acts via both the VLDL receptor (VLDLR) and LRP8 to regulate DAB1 tyrosine phosphorylation and microtubule function in neurons. LRP8 has higher affinity for Reelin than VLDLR. LRP8 is thus a key component of the Reelin pathway which governs neuronal layering of the forebrain during embryonic brain development. Binds the endoplasmic reticulum resident receptor-associated protein (RAP). Binds dimers of beta 2-glycoprotein I and may be involved in the suppression of platelet aggregation in the vasculature. Highly expressed in the initial segment of the epididymis, where it affects the functional expression of clusterin and phospholipid hydroperoxide glutathione peroxidase (PHGPx), two proteins required for sperm maturation. May also function as an endocytic receptor.Bentley D.R., Nature 441:315-321(2006).Owen J.S., FEBS Lett. 540:181-187(2003).Zelcer N., J. Biol. Chem. 285:19720-19726(2010).
Immunogen Type: Peptide
Immunogen Description: Synthesized peptide derived from internal of human LRP8. Target Name: LRP8. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing LRP8 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as LRP8 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain Diseases, Cognition Disorders, Death, Fetal Death, Heart Diseases, Inflammation, Learning Disorders, Lung Diseases, Myocardial Infarction, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to LRP8 Antibody.
