The MAP3K5 map3k5 (Catalog #MBS9204406) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ASK1 (MEKK5/MAP3K5) Antibody (S966) reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Mouse) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s ASK1 (MEKK5/MAP3K5) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA).
WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MAP3K5 map3k5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The MAP3K5 map3k5 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #5174547) (NCBI Accession #NP_005914.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q99683). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the ASK1 (MEKK5/MAP3K5) Antibody (S966) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of MAP3K5 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal MAP3K5 Antibody. 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the MAP3K5 gene (Lane 2) (Origene Technologies).)
Western Blot (WB) MAP3K5.

Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling cascades include MAPK or extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), MAPK kinase (MKK or MEK), and MAPK kinase kinase (MAPKKK or MEKK). MAPKK kinase/MEKK phosphorylates and activates its downstream protein kinase, MAPK kinase/MEK, which in turn activates MAPK. The kinases of these signaling cascades are highly conserved, and homologs exist in yeast, Drosophila, and mammalian cells. MAPKKK5 contains 1,374 amino acids with all 11 kinase subdomains. Northern blot analysis shows that MAPKKK5 transcript is abundantly expressed in human heart and pancreas. The MAPKKK5 protein phosphorylates and activates MKK4 (aliases SERK1, MAPKK4) in vitro, and activates c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK)/stress-activated protein kinase (SAPK) during transient expression in COS and 293 cells; MAPKKK5 does not activate MAPK/ERK.

Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide. Antigen Source: HUMAN. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MAP3K5 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MAP3K5 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
