Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the MAP4K5 Polyclonal Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human ovarian cancer tissue using MAP4K5 Polyclonal Antibody at dilution of 1:10)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded Human thyroid cancer tissue using MAP4K5 Polyclonal Antibody at dilution of 1:10)
This gene encodes a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family, that is highly similar to yeast SPS1/STE20 kinase. Yeast SPS1/STE20 functions near the beginning of the MAP kinase signal cascades that is essential for yeast pheromone response. This kinase was shown to activate Jun kinase in mammalian cells, which suggested a role in stress response. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described for this gene.
Immunogen: Recombinant protein of human MAP4K5. Buffer: PBS with 0.05% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MAP4K5 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MAP4K5 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Dyslipidemias, Heart Diseases, Lung Neoplasms, Necrosis are some of the diseases may be linked to MAP4K5 Polyclonal Antibody. MAP4K5 also interacts with the following gene(s): BCR, CRK, CRKL, TRAF2. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Blood, Brain, Liver, Lung, Muscle tissues are correlated with this protein.
