The MCHR1 mchr1 (Catalog #MBS648282) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MCHR1, CT (MCHR1, GPR24, SLC1, Melanin-concentrating hormone receptor 1, G-protein coupled receptor 24, MCH-1R, SLC-1, Somatostatin receptor-like protein) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s MCHR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS).Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry, ELISA
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:100-500
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100
Flow Cytometry: 1:10-50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MCHR1 mchr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The MCHR1 mchr1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #88758590) (NCBI Accession #NP_005288.3) (Uniprot Accession #Q99705). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the MCHR1, CT (MCHR1, GPR24, SLC1, Melanin-concentrating hormone receptor 1, G-protein coupled receptor 24, MCH-1R, SLC-1, Somatostatin receptor-like protein) with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human brain tissue with MBS648282 which was peroxidase conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of 038275 for immunohistochemistry.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (Flow cytometric analysis of K562 cells using MBS648282 (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis in CEM,K562 cell line lysates (35ug/lane) using 038275. This demonstrates that MBS648282 detected the MCHR1 protein (arrow).)
The protein encoded by this gene, a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family 1, is an integral plasma membrane protein which binds melanin-concentrating hormone. The encoded protein can inhibit cAMP accumulation and stimulate intracellular calcium flux, and is probably involved in the neuronal regulation of food consumption. Although structurally similar to somatostatin receptors, this protein does not seem to bind somatostatin.
Immunogen: MCHR1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 399-426 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human MCHR1. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MCHR1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MCHR1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
