The MCP-1/JE n/a (Catalog #MBS613251) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MCP-1/JE (Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein-1) reacts with Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s MCP-1/JE can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MCP-1/JE n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The MCP-1/JE n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #27228299). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Rat MCP-1/JE (monocyte chemoattracctant protein-1) is a 148-amino acid CC chemokine with a NH2-terminal sequence of 29 residues as a signal sequence. It was originally cloned from Con A-stimulated rat spleen cDNA library. This rat MCP-1/JE is 49-amino acid longer than human MCP-1 at 3\'-end. This 3\'-end is a serine and threonine rich zone, which is probably responsible for the extensive O-glycosylation and explains for the higher molecular weight (25 kD). In vitro, MCP-1/JE is chemotactic for monocytes as well as lymphocytes and basophils, but not for neutrophils. MCP-1/JE is produced by a wide range of cell types as a reaction to diverse inflammatory stimuli.
Immunogen: E. coli-expressed mature rat MCP-1. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MCP-1/JE are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MCP-1/JE may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Bone, Brain, Connective Tissue, Ear, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Muscle, Umbilical Cord, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. MCP-1/JE also interacts with the following gene(s): FLNA.
