The MSR1 msr1 (Catalog #MBS2527660) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MSR1 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s MSR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).IHC: 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MSR1 msr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The MSR1 msr1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #20357515) (NCBI Accession #NP_619730.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

This gene encodes the class A macrophage scavenger receptors, which include three different types (1, 2, 3) generated by alternative splicing of this gene. These receptors or isoforms are macrophage-specific trimeric integral membrane glycoproteins and have been implicated in many macrophage-associated physiological and pathological processes including atherosclerosis, Alzheimer\'s disease, and host defense. The isoforms type 1 and type 2 are functional receptors and are able to mediate the endocytosis of modified low density lipoproteins (LDLs).
Immunogen: Recombinant protein of human MSR1. Buffer: PBS with 0.05% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MSR1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MSR1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. MSR1 also interacts with the following gene(s): CD163, ELAC2, HOOK3, RNASEL, TRAF6. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Atherosclerosis, Cardiovascular Diseases, Disease Models, Animal, Fibrosis, Inflammation, Lung Diseases, Lung Neoplasms, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Experimental, Prostatic Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to MSR1 Polyclonal Antibody.
