|The MTBP mtbp (Catalog #MBS221641) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s MTBP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).
Western Blot: This item detects a band of approximately 104kD in K562 whole cell lystates.
Western Blotting: Maximum Dilution: 1ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MTBP mtbp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The MTBP mtbp product has the following accession number(s) (GI #21630257) (NCBI Accession #NP_071328.2) (Uniprot Accession #Q96DY7). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the RABBIT ANTI HUMAN MTBP (aa122-139) with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data #1 (Western blot analysis of MTBP expression in K562 whole cell lysates with MBS221641)
Testing Data #2 (Immunocytochemical staining of K562 cells with Rabbit anti Human MTBP (MBS221641))
MBS221641 recognises human MDM2-binding protein (MTBP). MDM2 is an important negative regulator of p53, which is over expressed in a range of human cancers. MTBP is expressed in a variety of normal tissues and is reported to bind to MDM2, inhibiting it\'s effect on p53.
Perservative Stabilisers: 0.02% Sodium Azide. Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 122-139 of human MTBP
Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline
Antiserum Preparation: Antisera to human MTBP were raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography.
Target Species: Human. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MTBP are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MTBP may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Breast Neoplasms, Disease Models, Animal, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Lymphoma, Mammary Neoplasms, Animal, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Experimental are some of the diseases may be linked to RABBIT ANTI HUMAN MTBP (aa122-139). Connective Tissue, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Larynx, Liver, Lymph Node, Mammary Gland, Placenta tissues are correlated with this protein. MTBP also interacts with the following gene(s): MDM2.
