The MTHFD1 mthfd1 (Catalog #MBS627114) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MTHFD1, ID (P550) (C-1-tetrahydrofolate Synthase, Cytoplasmic, C1-THF Synthase, Methylenetetrahydrofolate Dehydrogenase, Methenyltetrahydrofolate Cyclohydrolase, Formyltetrahydrofolate Synthetase, MTHFC, MTHFD) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s MTHFD1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MTHFD1 mthfd1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The MTHFD1 mthfd1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #38014238) (Uniprot Accession #P11586). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the MTHFD1, ID (P550) (C-1-tetrahydrofolate Synthase, Cytoplasmic, C1-THF Synthase, Methylenetetrahydrofolate Dehydrogenase, Methenyltetrahydrofolate Cyclohydrolase, Formyltetrahydrofolate Synthetase, MTHFC, MTHFD) with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of MTHFD1 Antibody (Center P550) with 293 cell followed by Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green). DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).)
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of MTHFD1 Antibody (Center P550) in Y79 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). MTHFD1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (MTHFD1 Antibody (Center P550) IHC analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human Lung carcinoma followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of the MTHFD1 Antibody (Center P550) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
MTHFD1 is a protein that possesses three distinct enzymatic activities, 5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase, 5,10-methenyltetrahydrofolate cyclohydrolase and 10-formyltetrahydrofolate synthetase. Each of these activities catalyzes one of three sequential reactions in the interconversion of 1-carbon derivatives of tetrahydrofolate, which are substrates for methionine, thymidylate, and de novo purine syntheses. The trifunctional enzymatic activities are conferred by two major domains, an aminoterminal portion containing the dehydrogenase and cyclohydrolase activities and a larger synthetase domain.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide selected from the Center(P550) region of human MTHFD1 (KLH). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MTHFD1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MTHFD1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
