The MUTYH mutyh (Catalog #MBS9405351) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MUTYH Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s MUTYH can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).ELISA: 1:2000-1:10000
Western blotting: 1:1000-1:5000
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MUTYH mutyh for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The MUTYH mutyh product has the following accession number(s) (GI #13112008) (NCBI Accession #BC003178). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

This gene encodes a DNA glycosylase involved in oxidative DNA damage repair. The enzyme excises adenine bases from the DNA backbone at sites where adenine is inappropriately paired with guanine, cytosine, or 8-oxo-7,8-dihydroguanine, a major oxidatively damaged DNA lesion. The protein is localized to the nucleus and mitochondria. Mutations in this gene result in heritable predisposition to colon and stomach cancer. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Immunogen Type: Recombinant protein
Immunogen Description: Fusion protein corresponding to a C terminal 300 amino acids of human mutY homolog (E. coli). Target Name: MUTYH. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MUTYH are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MUTYH may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Adenocarcinoma, Adenomatous Polyposis Coli, Breast Neoplasms, Carcinoma, Chromosome Aberrations, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Lung Neoplasms, Neoplasms, Experimental, Ovarian Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to MUTYH Antibody. Blood, Bone, Brain, Intestine, Liver, Lung, Nerve, Skin, Stomach, Thyroid tissues are correlated with this protein.
