The NDRG1 ndrg1 (Catalog #MBS644903) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NDRG1 (Protein NDRG1, Differentiation-related Gene 1 Protein, DRG-1, N-myc Downstream-regulated Gene 1 Protein, Nickel-specific Induction Protein Cap43, Reducing Agents and Tunicamycin-responsive Protein, RTP, Rit42, CAP43, DRG1) reacts with Canine, Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s NDRG1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:32,000
Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/ml, observed in lysates of human brain, kidney and testis on ~48kD bands.
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 2-5ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NDRG1 ndrg1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The NDRG1 ndrg1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #48145801) (NCBI Accession #CAG33123.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q92597). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the NDRG1 (Protein NDRG1, Differentiation-related Gene 1 Protein, DRG-1, N-myc Downstream-regulated Gene 1 Protein, Nickel-specific Induction Protein Cap43, Reducing Agents and Tunicamycin-responsive Protein, RTP, Rit42, CAP43, DRG1) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (staining (0.1ug/ml) of Human Kidney lysate (RIPA buffer, 35ug total protein per lane). Primary incubated for 1 hour. Detected by western blot using chemiluminescence.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) ((0.5ug/ml) staining of paraffin embedded Human hepatocelluar carcinoma. Data obtained from C. Furer, Visceral Surgery, University of Bern, Switzerland.)
NDRG1 is a member of the emerging NDRG family involved in stress responses, hormone responses, cell growth, and differentiation. The NDRG1 gene is mapped to human chromosome 8q24.2 and encodes a cytosolic protein containing three unique tandem repeats of 10 hydrophilic aa near the C-terminus. Expression of NDRG1 is markedly upregulated in various cells under such conditions as cell differentiation, hypoxia and exposure to heavy metals. However, its expression is repressed by the Myc family transcription factors and after cellular transformation. Mutations in the NDRG1 gene are linked to the hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy. The protein is ubiquitously expressed in human and rat heart, brain, kidney, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, and pancreas.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to GNSAGPKSMEVSC, from human NDRG1, at C-terminal (NP_006087.2, NP_001128714.1). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing NDRG1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as NDRG1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
