The Neurite Outgrowth Inhibitor Protein B n/a (Catalog #MBS616487) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Neurite Outgrowth Inhibitor Protein B (NogoB) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Neurite Outgrowth Inhibitor Protein B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB).Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:10,000-1:100,000 using 50-100ng of control peptide/well.
Western Blot: 1-10ug/ml (ECL). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Neurite Outgrowth Inhibitor Protein B n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

Many tissues such as muscle, skin, liver, and peripheral nerve, have remarkable ability to repair and regrow after injury. The CNS (brain and spinal cord) is limited in its ability to repair or regrow causing permanent brain damage or paralyses. An inhibitory myelin protein, Nogo (Neurite outgrowth), has been cloned and characterized. It may help block the regeneration of the CNS. Nogo is the 4th member of reticulon (Rtn) family. There are three alternative isoforms of Nogo. Nogo-An is full length human protein consisting of 1192aa, Mr ~135kD (rat 1163aa). Nogo-B is an intermediate form consisting of 373aa, ~37kD. Nogo-B lacks aa186-1004 within the extracellular domain. Nogo-C is shorter, consisting of 199aa, ~25kD. It lacks aa186-1004 and has a smaller, alternative N-terminal domain. It is similar to rat vp20 and foocen-s. Nogo-A has a putative extracellular domain of 1024aa, 2-3 TM domains, and a short C-terminus of 43aa. Nogo-An is localized to the CNS-myelin. It is highly expressed in oligodendrocytes, but not by Schwann cells. Nogo-B and Nogo-C have been found in several non-neuronal tissues (skeletal muscle, kidney, skin, lung, and spleen).
Immunogen: Synthetic 12aa peptide sequence within the N-terminus and at the splice site of Nogo-A from the putative extracellular domain of rat Nogo-B (KLH coupled). The complete 12aa epitope is present only in Nogo-B (absent in Nogo-C). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Neurite Outgrowth Inhibitor Protein B are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Neurite Outgrowth Inhibitor Protein B may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
