The NF2 nf2 (Catalog #MBS9205101) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Merlin Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Mouse, Rat) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Merlin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF).
WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NF2 nf2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The NF2 nf2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4557795) (NCBI Accession #NP_000259.1) (Uniprot Accession #P35240). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Merlin Antibody (N-term) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of Merlin Antibody (N-term) in NCI-H460 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). NF2 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Western Blot (WB) NF2.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Merlin Antibody (N-term) IHC analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human lung carcinoma followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of the Merlin Antibody (N-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) NF2.

Immunofluorescence (IF) (Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of Merlin Antibody (N-term) with Hela cell followed by Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green). DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).)
Immunofluorescence (IF) NF2.

Merlin is similar to some members of the ERM (ezrin, radixin, moesin) family of proteins that are thought to link cytoskeletal components with proteins in the cell membrane. This protein has been shown to interact with cell-surface proteins, proteins involved in cytoskeletal dynamics and proteins involved in regulating ion transport.

Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide. Antigen Source: HUMAN. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing NF2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as NF2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Bone, Brain, Eye, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Prostate, Skin, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
