The NOXA pmaip1 (Catalog #MBS221324) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RABBIT ANTI NOXA reacts with Human, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s NOXA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology Paraffin*, Western Blot (WB).Western Blot: This item detects a band of approximately 11kDa in human stomach cell lysates.
Immunohistology - Paraffin: Application Note: This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.
Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 0.5; Maximum Dilution: 1.0ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NOXA pmaip1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The NOXA pmaip1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #10946832) (NCBI Accession #NP_067426.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q9JM54). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the RABBIT ANTI NOXA with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data #1 (Western blot analysis of human stomach tissue lysate probed with Rabbit anti NOXA (MBS221324) at 0.5(A), 1(B) and 2(C) ug/ml)
Testing Data #2 (Formalin fixed, paraffin embedded human stomach stained with Rabbit anti Human NOXA (MBS221324) following heat mediated antigen retrieval using sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0))
MBS221324 recognises murine Noxa, an 11kDa member of the BH3-only proapoptotic protein family. Noxa is localised to the mitochondria and is a transcriptional target of p73, p53 and BH3-only proteins. It is thought to induce apoptosis when activated, lowering the activity of anti-apoptotic Bcl-2-like proteins. It can be upregulated by mitogenic activation, independently of p53. In humans, along with Mcl-1 it is thought to form a selective pathway that restrains lymphocyte proliferation.
Perservative Stabilisers: 0.02% Sodium Azide (NaN3). Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to N-terminus of mouse NOXA.
Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline
Antiserum Preparation: Antisera to NOXA were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography.
Target Species: Mouse. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing NOXA are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as NOXA may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
