The NPPA nppa (Catalog #MBS9204421) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NPPA Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human, mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s NPPA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Western Blot (WB).WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NPPA nppa for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The NPPA nppa product has the following accession number(s) (GI #23510319) (NCBI Accession #NP_006163.1) (Uniprot Accession #P01160). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the NPPA Antibody (N-term) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of lysate from mouse heart tissue, using NPPA Antibody (N-term). MBS9204421 was diluted at 1:1000. A goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L(HRP) at 1:10000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody. Lysate at 20ug.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human prostate carcinoma with NPPA Antibody (N-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (Flow cytometric analysis of MDA-231 cells using NPPA Antibody (N-term)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NPPA belongs to the natriuretic peptide family. Natriuretic peptides are implicated in the control of extracellular fluid volume and electrolyte homeostasis. This protein is synthesized as a large precursor(containing a signal peptide), which is processed to release a peptide from the N-terminus with similarity to vasoactive peptide, cardiodilatin, and another peptide from the C-terminus with natriuretic-diuretic activity.
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide. Antigen Source: HUMAN. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing NPPA are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as NPPA may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Arrhythmias, Cardiac, Cardiomegaly, Cardiomyopathies, Heart Diseases, Heart Failure, Hypertension, Hypertrophy, Hypertrophy, Left Ventricular, Kidney Diseases, Myocardial Ischemia are some of the diseases may be linked to NPPA Antibody (N-term).
