The NR1H3 nr1h3 (Catalog #MBS2517488) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NR1H3 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s NR1H3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NR1H3 nr1h3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The NR1H3 nr1h3 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #27371228) (NCBI Accession #AAH41172.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of extracts of HT29 cell lines, using NR1H3 antibody.)
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the NR1 subfamily of the nuclear receptor superfamily. The NR1 family members are key regulators of macrophage function, controlling transcriptional programs involved in lipid homeostasis and inflammation. This protein is highly expressed in visceral organs, including liver, kidney and intestine. It forms a heterodimer with retinoid X receptor (RXR), and regulates expression of target genes containing retinoid response elements. Studies in mice lacking this gene suggest that it may play an important role in the regulation of cholesterol homeostasis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011].

Santa Cruz Alternative: Potential replacement for Santa Cruz Biotechnology antibody catalog# sc-34386 / sc-1202. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing NR1H3 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as NR1H3 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Atherosclerosis, Cardiovascular Diseases, Dyslipidemias, Fatty Liver, Heart Diseases, Hypercholesterolemia, Hypertriglyceridemia, Inflammation, Insulin Resistance, Liver Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to NR1H3 Antibody. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
