This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the nuclear hormone receptor family. Members of this family act as ligand-activated transcription factors and function in many biological processes such as development, cellular differentiation and homeostasis. The activated receptor/ligand complex is translocated to the nucleus where it binds to hormone response elements of target genes. The protein encoded by this gene plays a role in protecting cells from oxidative stress and damage induced by ionizing radiation. The lack of a similar gene in mouse results in growth retardation, severe spinal curvature, subfertility, premature aging, and prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN) development. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
Species: Human
Immunogen: Recombinant Protein. Immunogen: Recombinant protein of human NR2C2
Calculated Molecular Weight: 65kDa. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing NR2C2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as NR2C2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Bone, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Liver, Nerve, Ovary, Prostate, Testis, Thyroid tissues are correlated with this protein.
