The NTRK1 ntrk1 (Catalog #MBS176331) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-TrkA antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s TrkA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NTRK1 ntrk1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The NTRK1 ntrk1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #94730402) (NCBI Accession #P04629.4) (Uniprot Accession #P04629). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for High affinity nerve growth factor receptor(NTRK1) detection. Tested with WB in Human.
Background: Neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor type 1, also called Trk-A, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NTRK1 gene. The NTKR1 gene encodes the neurotrophic tyrosine kinase-1 receptor and belongs to a family of nerve growth factor receptors whose ligands include neurotrophins. This gene is mapped to 1q23.1. This kinase is a membrane-bound receptor that, upon neurotrophin binding, phosphorylates itself and members of the MAPK pathway. The presence of this kinase leads to cell differentiation and may play a role in specifying sensory neuron subtypes. Mutations in this gene have been associated with congenital insensitivity to pain, anhidrosis, self-mutilating behavior, mental retardation and cancer.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the N-terminus of human TrkA (71-90aa LYIENQQHLQHLELRDLRGL). Contents: Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg Thimerosal, 0.05mg NaN3.
Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing NTRK1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as NTRK1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
