The NTS nts (Catalog #MBS618225) is an Antibody produced from Guinea pig and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Neurotensin Receptor 1 (NTR1) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Neurotensin Receptor 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunocytochemistry (ICC).Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry.
Dilution: Immunocytochemistry: 1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NTS nts for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The NTS nts product has the following accession number(s) (GI #5453816) (NCBI Accession #NP_006174.1) (Uniprot Accession #P30990). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Neurotensin Receptor 1 (NTR1) with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data (Expression of NTS1 receptors in sensory neurons and spinal cord. (a) Immunoperoxidase staining reveals the presence of NTS1-like immunoreactivity throughout the lumbar dorsal horn of the spinal cord. Immunolabeling is most prominent in the superficial layers of the dorsal horn. The lateral spinal nucleus (lsn) is also moderately labeled (arrow). (b) High magnification of (a). A dense NTS1 immunostaining is observed over)
NTR1, a Neurotensin Receptor, activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system in the central and peripheral nervous systems. It mediates the functions of neurotensin, such as hypotension, hyperglycemia, hypothermia, antinociception, and regulation of intestinal motility and secretion. Neurotensin Receptor 1 expression is enhanced in pancreatic cancer and in chronic pancreatitis. Two differentially glycosylated forms of the NT1 receptor have been identified in rats, a 54kD form that is expressed from birth to adulthood, and a 52kD form only detected at 10 and 15 days postnatal. NTR1 has been reported in brain, pancreas, and small intestine. ESTs have been isolated from brain and colon libraries.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to TVGTHNGLEHSTFNMTIEPGRVQAYC from rat NTR1. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing NTS are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as NTS may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. NTS also interacts with the following gene(s): CCK, GRP, NMU, NTSR1, NTSR2, TAC1.
