The O97102 smt3 (Catalog #MBS9208235) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The D SUMO Antibody (C-term) reacts with Drosophila, human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s D SUMO can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA).WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the O97102 smt3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The O97102 smt3 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #17137634) (NCBI Accession #NP_477411.1) (Uniprot Accession #O97102). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the D SUMO Antibody (C-term) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of lysate from Drosophila tissue lysate, using SUMO Antibody (V52)(Drsophila). MBS9208235 was diluted at 1:1000. A goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L(HRP) at 1:10000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody. Lysate at 35ug.)
Western Blot (WB) (The SUMO1 Pab is used in Western blot to detect SUMO1 in HL-60 cell lysate.)
Covalent modification of target lysines by SUMO (small ubiquitin-like modifier) modulates processes such as protein localization, transcription, nuclear transport, mitosis, DNA replication and repair, signal transduction, and viral reproduction. SUMO does not seem to be involved in protein degradation and may in fact function as an antagonist of ubiquitin in the degradation process. In the development of Drosophila, SUMO plays a maternal role in anterior-posterior (A/P) polarity and patterning.
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide. Antigen Source: DROME. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing O97102 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as O97102 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. O97102 also interacts with the following gene(s): Aos1, Nup358, Uba2, Ulp1, lwr. Blood, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Fat Body, Gonad, Ovary, Testis tissues are correlated with this protein.
