The PCDH9 pcdh9 (Catalog #MBS6005962) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PCDH9, CT (PCDH9, Protocadherin-9) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PCDH9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB).Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:100-500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PCDH9 pcdh9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The PCDH9 pcdh9 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #9966883) (NCBI Accession #NP_065136.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q9HC56). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis in MDA-MB435 cell line lysates (35ug/lane) using MBS6005962. This demonstrates MBS6005962 detected the PCDH9 protein (arrow).)
This gene belongs to the protocadherin gene family, a subfamily of the cadherin superfamily. The mRNA encodes a cadherin-related neuronal receptor that localizes to synaptic junctions and is putatively involved in specific neuronal connections and signal transduction. Sharing a characteristic with other protocadherin genes, this gene has a notably large exon that encodes six cadherin domains and a transmembrane region. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.
Immunogen: PCDH9 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 117-146 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human PCDH9. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PCDH9 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PCDH9 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Bone, Brain, Ear, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Skin, Thyroid, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. Brain Diseases, Child Development Disorders, Pervasive, Disease Models, Animal, Nervous System Malformations are some of the diseases may be linked to PCDH9, CT (PCDH9, Protocadherin-9).
