The PCK2 pck2 (Catalog #MBS9208748) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PCK2 Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PCK2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF).WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PCK2 pck2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The PCK2 pck2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #66346723) (NCBI Accession #NP_001018083.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q16822). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the PCK2 Antibody (N-term) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of anti-PCK2 Antibody (N-term) in HepG2 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). PCK2 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.)
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of PCK2 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal PCK2 Antibody (Q39). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected (Lane 2) with the PCK2 gene.)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of PCK2 Antibody (N-term) with HepG2 cell followed by Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green).DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).)
This gene encodes a member of the phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (GTP) family. The protein is a mitochondrial enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of oxaloacetate to phosphoenolpyruvate in the presence of GTP. A cytosolic form encoded by a different gene has also been characterized and is the key enzyme of gluconeogenesis in the liver. The encoded protein may serve a similar function, although it is constitutively expressed and not modulated by hormones such as glucagon and insulin that regulate the cytosolic form. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide. Antigen Source: HUMAN. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PCK2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PCK2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
