The PDE8B pde8b (Catalog #MBS9201082) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PDE8B Antibody (Center) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PDE8B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA).WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PDE8B pde8b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The PDE8B pde8b product has the following accession number(s) (GI #71164867) (NCBI Accession #NP_001025022.1) (Uniprot Accession #O95263). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the PDE8B Antibody (Center) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (PDE8B Antibody (Center) western blot analysis in mouse heart tissue lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the PDE8B antibody detected the PDE8B protein (arrow).)
The protein encoded by this gene is a cyclic nucleotide
phosphodiesterase (PDE) that catalyzes the hydrolysis of the second
messenger cAMP. The encoded protein, which does not hydrolyze cGMP,
is resistant to several PDE inhibitors. Defects in this gene are a
cause of autosomal dominant striatal degeneration (ADSD). Several
transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for
this gene.
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide. Antigen Source: HUMAN. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PDE8B are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PDE8B may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Adrenal Hyperplasia, Congenital, Cardiovascular Diseases, Cell Transformation, Neoplastic, Erectile Dysfunction, Heart Diseases, Hypertension, Infant, Newborn, Diseases, Nervous System Diseases, Neurodegenerative Diseases, Striatal Degeneration, Autosomal Dominant are some of the diseases may be linked to PDE8B Antibody (Center). PDE8B also interacts with the following gene(s): GNAS. Brain, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Pancreas, Prostate, Testis, Thyroid tissues are correlated with this protein.
