The PEPD pepd (Catalog #MBS9126611) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PEPD Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PEPD can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).WB: 1:500 - 1:2000
IHC: 1:50 - 1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PEPD pepd for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The PEPD pepd product has the following accession number(s) (GI #50403718) (NCBI Accession #P12955.3) (Uniprot Accession #P12955). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

This gene encodes a member of the peptidase family. The protein forms a homodimer that hydrolyzes dipeptides or tripeptides with C-terminal proline or hydroxyproline residues. The enzyme serves an important role in the recycling of proline, and may be rate limiting for the production of collagen. Mutations in this gene result in prolidase deficiency, which is characterized by the excretion of large amount of di- and tri-peptides containing proline. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Species: Human
Immunogen: Recombinant Protein. Immunogen: Recombinant protein of human PEPD
Calculated Molecular Weight: 54kDa. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PEPD are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PEPD may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Bladder, Blood, Embryonic Tissue, Ganglia, Heart, Kidney, Muscle, Nerve, Skin, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. PEPD also interacts with the following gene(s): APOC1, APOC2. Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2, Hypertrophy, Infection, Kidney Diseases, Liver Diseases, Prolidase Deficiency, Respiratory Tract Diseases, Skin Ulcer, Splenomegaly, Vascular Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to PEPD Polyclonal Antibody.
