The PIAS2 pias2 (Catalog #MBS9414511) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PIAS2 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PIAS2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF).Western blotting: 1:500 - 1:2000
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50 - 1:200
Immunofluorescence: 1:50 - 1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PIAS2 pias2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The PIAS2 pias2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #56699458) (NCBI Accession #NP_004662.2) (Uniprot Accession #O75928). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the PIAS2 Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of extracts of various cell lines, using PIAS2 antibody.)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence analysis of U20S cell using PIAS2 antibody. Blue: DAPI for nuclear staining.)
This gene encodes a member of the protein inhibitor of activated STAT (PIAS) family. PIAS proteins function as SUMO E3 ligases and play important roles in many cellular processes by mediating the sumoylation of target proteins. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. Isoforms of the encoded protein enhance the sumoylation of specific target proteins including the p53 tumor suppressor protein, c-Jun, and the androgen receptor. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the short arm of chromosome 4. The symbol MIZ1 has also been associated with ZBTB17 which is a different gene located on chromosome 1.
Immunogen Type: Recombinant Protein
Immunogen Description: Recombinant protein of human PIAS2. Target Name: PIAS2. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PIAS2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PIAS2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Brain Diseases, Chromosome Aberrations, Congenital Abnormalities, Fibrosis, Immune System Diseases, Immunoproliferative Disorders, Inflammation, Nerve Degeneration are some of the diseases may be linked to PIAS2 Antibody.
