|The PLCG1 plcg1 (Catalog #MBS630569) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Phospholipase C, gamma 1, phosphorylated (Tyr783) (PLCg1) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Phospholipase C, gamma 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC).
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 dilution. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PLCG1 plcg1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The PLCG1 plcg1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #3336979) (Uniprot Accession #P19174). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C (PLC) is a family of proteins that hydrolyze phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate to generate the second messengers, inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3) and diacylglycerol (DAG). IP3 induces a transient increase in intracellular free Ca++, while DAG is a direct activator of protein kinase C (PKC). These processes are involved in the control of multiple cellular activities such as cell proliferation, growth and differentiation. PLCy-1 is a 135kD ubiquitously expressed isozyme that is activated by phosphorylation of tyrosine 783 and interacts with growth factor receptors (EGFR, PDGFR, etc.) and adhesion/cytoskeletal proteins (FAK, paxillin) to influence a multiple number of signaling pathways.
Immunogen: Synthetic phosphopeptide derived from the region of human PLCy-1 that contains tyrosine 783. Positive Control: NIH3T3 cells +/- PDGF. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PLCG1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PLCG1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Skin, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. Bipolar Disorder, Burns, Cardiovascular Diseases, Colonic Neoplasms, Endotoxemia, Inflammation, Intestinal Neoplasms, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Vascular Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to Phospholipase C, gamma 1, phosphorylated (Tyr783) (PLCg1). The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. PLCG1 also interacts with the following gene(s): EGFR, ERBB2, FYN, GAB1, GRB2, GRIN1, GRIN2A, LAT, SRC, SYK.
