The PLIN1 plin1 (Catalog #MBS840184) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Perilipin An Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Perilipin A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).Western blot analysis (1-4 ug/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Jurkat cell lysate can be used as a positive control. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PLIN1 plin1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The PLIN1 plin1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #3041771) (NCBI Accession #BAA25420.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Perilipin An Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data
Background: Perilipin is a protein produced and secreted by adipose cells. This protein is localized exclusively to the surface of lipid droplets. In response to lypotic stimuli, perilipin is phosphorylated by protein kinase A. Once activated, perilipin has inhibitory effects on hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL), a protein that mediates the hydrolysis of triacylglycerol, the major form of stored energy in the body. Perilipin expression is limited to adipocytes and steroidogenic cells.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 510 of mouse Perilipin A.
Positive Control: Jurkat cell lysate. Handling: The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PLIN1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PLIN1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. PLIN1 also interacts with the following gene(s): ABHD5, CAV1, CIDEC, FABP4, INS, LIPE, PNPLA2, PPARG, PPARGC1A, PRKACA. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Body Weight Changes, Dyslipidemias, Fatty Liver, Hyperinsulinism, Hypertriglyceridemia, Hypertrophy, Inflammation, Insulin Resistance, Obesity, Weight Loss are some of the diseases may be linked to Perilipin An Antibody. Adipose Tissue, Bone, Connective Tissue, Heart, Liver, Muscle, Skin, Testis, Uncharacterized Tissue, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
