|The Ppfia1 n/a (Catalog #MBS6011743) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PPFIA1, NT (PPFIA1, LIP1, Liprin-alpha-1, LAR-interacting protein 1, Protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type f polypeptide-interacting protein alpha-1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PPFIA1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB).
Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:100-500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Ppfia1 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Ppfia1 n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #219521414) (NCBI Accession #AAI72096.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the LAR protein-tyrosine phosphatase-interacting protein (liprin) family. Liprins interact with members of LAR family of transmembrane protein tyrosine phosphatases, which are known to be important for axon guidance and mammary gland development. This protein binds to the intracellular membrane-distal phosphatase domain of tyrosine phosphatase LAR, and appears to localize LAR to cell focal adhesions. This interaction may regulate the disassembly of focal adhesion and thus help orchestrate cell-matrix interactions. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described.
Immunogen: PPFIA1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 51-80 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human PPFIA1. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Ppfia1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Ppfia1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
