The PPIB ppib (Catalog #MBS176023) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Cyclophilin B antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Cyclophilin B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PPIB ppib for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The PPIB ppib product has the following accession number(s) (GI #215273869) (NCBI Accession #P23284.2) (Uniprot Accession #P23284). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase B(PPIB) detection. Tested with WB, IHC-P in Human, Mouse, Rat.
Background: Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase B, also known as CYPB, is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PPIB gene. This gene is mapped to 15q22.31. The protein encoded by this gene is a cyclosporine-binding protein and is mainly located within the endoplasmic reticulum. It is associated with the secretory pathway and released in biological fluids. This protein can bind to cells derived from T- and B-lymphocytes, and may regulate cyclosporine A-mediated immunosuppression. Variants have been identified in this protein that give rise to recessive forms of osteogenesis imperfecta.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of human Cyclophilin B (176-196aa MEVVRKVESTKTDSRDKPLKD), different from the related mouse sequence by one amino acid, and from the related rat sequence by two amino acids. Contents: Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg Thimerosal, 0.05mg NaN3.
Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PPIB are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PPIB may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
