The PSEN1 n/a (Catalog #MBS536256) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Presenilin 1 antibody reacts with Human presenilin-1 and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Presenilin 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, User optimized. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PSEN1 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The PSEN1 n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #1479974) (NCBI Accession #AAB46370.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q53FV8). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Goat polyclonal Presenilin 1 antibody.
Biological Significance: Presenilins are a family of related multi-pass transmembrane proteins that function as a part of the gamma-secretase protease complex. Vertebrates have two presenilin genes, called PSEN1 (located on chromosome 14 in humans) that encodes presenilin 1 (PS-1) and PSEN2 (on chromosome 1 in humans) that codes for presenilin 2 (PS-2). Immunogen: Presenilin 1 antibody was raised in goat using a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 14-33 of the N-terminus of the alzheimer\'s disease presenilin-1 as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PSEN1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PSEN1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. PSEN1 also interacts with the following gene(s): APH1B, APP, CTNNB1, GSK3B, NCSTN, NOTCH1, NOTCH3, PSENEN. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Blood, Bone, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Kidney, Liver, Muscle, Skin, Spinal Cord, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
