The PSMB9 psmb9 (Catalog #MBS126360) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PSMB9 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PSMB9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF).WB: 1:500 - 1:2000
IHC: 1:50 - 1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PSMB9 psmb9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The PSMB9 psmb9 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #417529) (NCBI Accession #P28065.2) (Uniprot Accession #P28065). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

The proteasome is a multicatalytic proteinase complex with a highly ordered ring-shaped 20S core structure. The core structure is composed of 4 rings of 28 non-identical subunits; 2 rings are composed of 7 alpha subunits and 2 rings are composed of 7 beta subunits. Proteasomes are distributed throughout eukaryotic cells at a high concentration and cleave peptides in an ATP/ubiquitin-dependent process in a non-lysosomal pathway. An essential function of a modified proteasome, the immunoproteasome, is the processing of class I MHC peptides. This gene encodes a member of the proteasome B-type family, also known as the T1B family, that is a 20S core beta subunit. This gene is located in the class II region of the MHC (major histocompatibility complex). Expression of this gene is induced by gamma interferon and this gene product replaces catalytic subunit 1 (proteasome beta 6 subunit) in the immunoproteasome. Proteolytic processing is required to generate a mature subunit. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010].

Immunogen: Recombinant Protein. Immunogen: Recombinant protein of human PSMB9
Calculated Molecular Weight: 23kDa. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PSMB9 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PSMB9 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
