The PSMD4 psmd4 (Catalog #MBS2518765) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PSMD4 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PSMD4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PSMD4 psmd4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The PSMD4 psmd4 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #8918320) (NCBI Accession #BAA97572.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the PSMD4 Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of K562 cell and jurkat cell lysate using PSMD4 antibody.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded human lung using PSMD4 antibody at dilution of 1:200 (400x lens).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded rat brain using PSMD4 antibody at dilution of 1:200 (400x lens).)
S5a (PSMD4) is a subunit of the 19S regulatory proteasome complex functioning in ubiquitinated-protein targeting and degradation (1). S5a contains two polyubiquitin binding motifs (UIM) that bind multiubiquitin chains by hydrophobic interaction (2, 3). In addition to ubiquitin, the UIM of S5a shows high affinity to an ubiquitin-like domain present in many proteins. S5a binds to these types of proteins directly and mediates their targeting to the proteasome for degradation (4, 5).

In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PSMD4 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PSMD4 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain Diseases, Carcinoma, Hepatocellular, Disease Models, Animal, Immune System Diseases, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Movement Disorders, Necrosis, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to PSMD4 Antibody. Blood, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Spleen, Testis, Thyroid tissues are correlated with this protein.
