The PTPRE n/a (Catalog #MBS648205) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PTPRE, NT (PTPRE, Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase epsilon) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PTPRE can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:100-500
Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PTPRE n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The PTPRE n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #15529624) (NCBI Accession #AAL01375.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the PTPRE, NT (PTPRE, Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase epsilon) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (PTPRE Antibody (N-term) western blot analysis in CEM cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the PTPRE antibody detected the PTPRE protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (PTPRE Antibody (N-term) (AP14405a)immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human testis tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of PTPRE Antibody (N-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been reported, one of which encodes a receptor-type PTP that possesses a short extracellular domain, a single transmembrane region, and two tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains; Another one encodes a PTP that contains a distinct hydrophilic N-terminus, and thus represents a nonreceptor-type isoform of this PTP. Studies of the similar gene in mice suggested the regulatory roles of this PTP in RAS related signal transduction pathways, cytokines induced SATA signaling, as well as the activation of voltage-gated K+ channels. Immunogen: PTPRE antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 133-163 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human PTPRE. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PTPRE are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PTPRE may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
