MyBioSource\'s Rad54 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB).IF:1:100-1:200
ICC:1:100-1:200
IHC-P: 1:100-1:500
WB: 1:500-1:3000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Rad54 rad54l for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Rad54 rad54l product has the following accession number(s) (GI #1495483) (NCBI Accession #CAA66379.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q92698). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Rad54 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of 30 ug of whole cell lysate (A:NIH-3T3) using a 5 % SDS PAGE gel and Rad54 antibody at a dilution of 1:1000)
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of 30 ug whole cell lysate (A:293T; B:Hep G2; C:Raji) using a 5 % SDS PAGE gel and Rad54 antibody at a dilution of 1:500)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde-fixed HeLa, using ATRX antibody at 1:200 dilution.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded A549 xenograft using Rad54 antibody at a dilution of 1:100)
Affinity purified Rabbit polyclonal Rad54 antibody.
Biological Significance: The protein encoded by this gene contains an ATPase/helicase domain, and thus it belongs to the SWI/SNF family of chromatin remodeling proteins. The mutations of this gene are associated with an X-linked mental retardation (XLMR) syndrome most often accompanied by alpha-thalassemia (ATRX) syndrome. These mutations have been shown to cause diverse changes in the pattern of DNA methylation, which may provide a link between chromatin remodeling, DNA methylation, and gene expression in developmental processes. This protein is found to undergo cell cycle-dependent phosphorylation, which regulates its nuclear matrix and chromatin association, and suggests its involvement in the gene regulation at interphase and chromosomal segregation in mitosis. Cross-Reactivity: Human, Mouse
Immunogen: Rad54 antibody was raised in rabbit using a recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 2161 and 2443 of Rad54. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Rad54 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Rad54 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
