The SAPAP1 dlgap1 (Catalog #MBS9405944) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SAPAP1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s SAPAP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SAPAP1 dlgap1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The SAPAP1 dlgap1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #19923274) (NCBI Accession #NP_004737). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the SAPAP1 Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of SAPAP1 in rat brain tissue lysate with SAPAP1 antibody at (A) 0.5 and (B) 1 ug/mL.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry of SAPAP1 in human brain with SAPAP1 antibody at 5 ug/mL.)
SAP90/PSD-95-associated protein 1 (SAPAP1, also known as DLGAP1 or GKAP) is a member of a protein family whose members specifically interact with PSD-95/SAP90, a membrane-associated guanylate kinase localized at postsynaptic density (PSD) in neuronal cells. Like the other SAPAP proteins, SAPAP1 is thought to be an adaptor protein that also interacts with different synaptic scaffolding proteins, cytoskeletal and signaling components, such as focal adhesion kinase (FAK) and proline-rich tyrosine kinase 2 (PYK2). SAPAP1 mRNA is targeted to cell bodies in a similar manner to SAPAP2 and -4, whereas SAPAP3 mRNA is detected mainly in cell bodies. SAPAP1 protein however, is targeted to the synapse and is not reliant on the synaptic localization of PSD-95 or the synaptic scaffolding molecule (S-SCAM).
Immunogen Type: Peptide
Immunogen Description: Raised against a 18 amino acid peptide from near the center of human SAPAP1. Target Name: SAPAP1. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing SAPAP1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as SAPAP1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain, Eye, Nerve tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
